How It All Started

When our Founder, Tracy, was living in Spain, she loved to take her workouts outside, spending time Hiking with her two dogs.  They’d spend hours navigating the trails in the mountainous region of Southern Spain.

In hot weather, Tracy would take-out, two larger-sized, sports drinking bottles; one for her, and, the other for her furry friends.  Often the dogs would be able to drink from a spring or a puddle, but their drinking spots dried-up in the summer.

Tracy realized that the weight of the bottles, plus the water, was giving her an enhanced upper body workout.  She wore tech gear, with corresponding apps on her phone.  On the days that they hiked, when Tracy was carrying the larger sports bottles, full of water, her workout registered as being a harder session, with better endurance.  Tracy noticed that her upper body was more muscular, and, that the weight she was trying to lose, was coming-off.

The only problem was, on the days that they drank all of the water, she didn’t see the same great results, because the weight of the bottles, without the water, was negligible, and, therefore, not improving Tracy’s workout. 

Tracy searched the Internet to buy a pair of sports bottles that acted similar to dumbbells, but she couldn’t find any.  The ones that she saw, were shaped water bottles, that looked like dumbbells, so the same problem would occur, in that, drink the water, and, the weight would disappear – this would not improve a workout, or, enhance a training session.

Thus, the idea was born – a set of Sports Water Bottles, that weights are fixed to, top and bottom, to act similar to free-weights or dumbbells; but they hold fluids, and are, sports drinking bottles – voila! Such a simple idea!  No need to struggle trying to hold a water bottle and dumbbells when you’re out on a run or hike.

If you’ve tried holding a sports bottle and dumbbells, you’ll know that it’s near-impossible to do!
